Statutory Compliance Requirements - Swift Electrical

Employers are bound by law to provide a safe environment for their employees to work in. This is covered under the following;

  • The Safety, Health and Welfare Act 2005 (No. 10 of 2005), governed by the Health & Safety Authority (HAS)
  • National Rules for Electrical Installations ET101:2008, governed by the ETCI & Safe Electric
  • Emergency Lighting Standard I.S 3217:2013, governed by the NSAI
  • Fire Alam Standard I.S 3218:2013, governed by the NSAI

There are statutory requirements/obligations that are associated with the above and part of this requires certain procedures to be carried out on a continual basis, whether it be daily, weekly, monthly etc. This also entails the relevant documentation being kept as a record that all the compliance requirements have been carried out.

We can implement all these requirements and provide the relevant statutory documents for the following:

  • Electrical Periodic Inspection & Testing (To be carried out every 5 years)

  • Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) (Required annually)

  • Emergency Lighting Systems (Weekly, monthly & quarterly requirements)

  • Fire Alarm Systems (Weekly, monthly & quarterly requirements)

All the above Statutory Compliance Requirements can be designed, implemented & maintained by our team of professionals. Swift Electrical can also provide full training for the specific employer requirements that must be carried out in-house for statutory compliance.
